DESCRIPTION - FUNDED VISITING FELLOWSHIP IN BRAZIL FOR REFUGEES WITH PHD

The Computer Science Graduate Program/UFG, with partnership with the Sergio Vieira de Melo Chair/UFG is offering a fellowship for a researcher/professor with Ph.D. from countries under consideration for humanitarian support or emergency to work for 24 months as a Visiting Professor.

MAIN RESEARCH TOPIC: Computational methods for diagnosing and detecting the level of severity of neurodegenerative diseases

 

Please, apply if you are interested in this position and you have a PhD and you are

  • a refugee in Brazil;
  • from countries under consideration for humanitarian support; or
  • settled in the country as a refugee and want to resettle in Brazil for this position.

 

FELLOWSHIP INCLUDES:

 

  • Scholarship R$ 14,000.00 (about US$ 2,668.00) monthly
  • Round-trip airline ticket

VISITING RESEARCHER/PROFESSOR PROFILE

The visiting researcher/professor must have:

  • English as working language;
  • PhD;
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or any related areas.

 

Previous experience in machine learning and signal processing topics is expected, as well as, experience in biological signal processing for classification purposes is desirable. 

Previous or current position in a Higher Educational Institution (universities, colleges, etc.) is required but other applicants can be considered, depending on the candidate's CVs and scientific production history.
